Gallstone Pancreatitis — Surgical Management in Bradenton

Gallstone pancreatitis occurs when a gallstone obstructs the common bile duct or pancreatic duct. After resolution of the acute episode, cholecystectomy is required to prevent recurrence.

Common Signs & Symptoms

What Causes This?

Removes the gallbladder and the source of stones during the same hospitalization or shortly after recovery.
